Entry Level Web Production

Checkerboard Strategic Web Development is an innovative and growing company that specializes in Web development, online marketing, and Web site maintenance. In addition to building new web sites, we also partner with our clients to help them maintain their web presence and marketing efforts which presents us the opportunity to make use of a wide variety of technologies both on the client site and throughout the web.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support senior level designers and developers with a variety of needs. Some typical tasks may include:
- Site maintenance requests (HTML/CSS, PHP, ColdFusion)
- Level I support for hosting clients
- Level I support for WordPress clients
- Account set up and server set up
- Incorporating content into WordPress sites
- Video/Audio editing
EXPECTATIONS:
- Work well with tight and overlapping deadlines
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with great attention to detail and an eye for consistency
- Ability to “fill in the gaps” or think for yourself
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Proactive, responsive to change and open to feedback
- Great attitude, team player mentality and a sense of humor are a must!
- Sense of urgency - must meet deadlines
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills required
- PHP, HTML and CSS experience preferred
- Server administration experience a plus
- ColdFusion knowledge a plus
- Video/Audio editing experience preferred
- Basic Search Engine Optimization knowledge a plus
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
COMPENSATION:
- $8-$10 per hour
- 20-30 hours per week, flexible schedule
