Expo Sales Internship
DESCRIPTION:
Mid-America Events & Expos, located in Burnsville, produces exciting corporate events and consumer expos such as the Girlfriends Expo & Getaway, Seniors Expo, Body Mind Life Expo, Seniors Spring Show and more.
This is an opportunity for students who want to gain hands on experience in sales. You should be the type of person who gets your energy from talking to other people. It requires creativity and the ability to think on your feet. Some rewarding parts of the job are getting to know and deal with a variety of business people as you help them make arrangements to exhibit at the shows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and qualify leads and prospects
• Discover needs and goals of prospect and build strong relationships
• Reach company and personal sales goals
EXPECTATIONS:
• Ability to find and cultivate new business
• Great attitude
• Sense of humor
• Sense of urgency - must meet deadlines
REQUIREMENTS:
• 15-20 hours per week during regular business hours
• Currently pursuing a degree in Sales, Marketing or other related field
• Computer skills – Microsoft office, Outlook
COMPENSATION:
• 20% commission on sales
